With a focus on experiential soccer and spirituality, Spencer has conducted thousands of customized soccer events, leaving an indelible mark on the soccer community.

Throughout his illustrious career, Spencer's impact has been profound. As co-founder of Edison United Soccer Association in 1974, he served as club president for 13 years, fostering a legacy of excellence in youth, men's, and women's soccer. Inducted into both the NJ Youth Soccer Hall of Fame in 2013 and the NJ Soccer Coach's Hall of Fame in 2017, Spencer's contributions have been recognized at the highest levels.

Beyond his club involvement, Spencer's coaching achievements speak volumes. He co-founded the Garden State Soccer League in 1980 and led the GSSL Select Team to four state championships. His dedication extended to coaching the inaugural high school girls' team in Elizabeth, NJ, and coaching the central NJ semi-pro Rovers team for 15 years, clinching 31 championships during his tenure.

Off the field, Spencer's commitment to community service shines brightly. He utilized soccer as a platform to volunteer with at-risk youth and with Ethiopian immigrants, demonstrating the power of sports to unite and uplift communities. Spencer's altruism extends to his creation of 'Covenantal Kickers,' a program blending soccer play with religious study for men of all ages.

In recognition of his enduring impact, Edison honored Spencer in 2008 by naming the town's soccer complex in his honor. He can often be found volunteering his soccer talents at local events, embodying the spirit of giving back to the community.
